Purpose

Ho’oilina Foundation provides grants, scholarships and/or resource assistance to support groups and individuals of California who are continuing the Polynesian culture through art, music, dance, education and recreation.

Procedure for Requesting Support

Submit a completed application to the Ho’oilina Foundation Grant Committee by specified deadlines. (Please see the attached Ho’oilina FoundationGrant/Scholarship Application Form.);

Mail completed application to Ho’oilina Foundation Grant; PO Box 690002, Makaweli, HI  96769;

Applicants may only submit one application per calendar year;

Documentation may be required for verification of requested costs;

Applicant must be 18 years of age or older, for the benefit of a recipient 5-18 years of age with authorization of parent/guardian; and

Multiple applications received for the same organization / individual within one calendar year may be denied.

Polynesian Culture and Arts

All ages

The request must benefit residents of the State of California

Scholarship Amounts

Individuals may be awarded up to $1,000 annually.

Groups or Organizations may be awarded up to $5,000 annually.

Ineligible Organizations

Political organizations

Discriminatory organizations

Committee Members

Four (4) officers who represent Ho’oilina Foundation

Quorum is Three (3) members
